EVENT: CBPBA Golf Tournament
Come join us and support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the
First Annual Stroke of Luck Against Alzheimer’s Tournament hosted by the
Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association
The tournament coincides with our Offshore Race Event, and Poker Run weekend on Solomons Island, Maryland. So plan your trip, come on down Thursday for a great weekend of fun.
Date: Friday, October 1st, 2010
Time: Registration begins at 7:00 am
Shotgun start at 8:00 am

It’s that time of the year again and the Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association is ramping up for another action packed weekend of boating on the Chesapeake Bay. This year we have a brand new venue for the events in Solomon’s Island Maryland and there is a definite buzz around town.
The Offshore Hero Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday October 2nd, 2010 and will precede the Solomon’s Offshore Grand Prix OPA National Championships on Sunday the 3rd, 2010. .

October 1, 2010 through October 3, 2010 - CBPBA Presents the Solomons Island Offshore Grand Prix
The Jersey Boyz and the world's fastest offshore race teams are coming to Solomons Island for the OPA National Championships Oct 1 through Oct 3. Currently more than 45 teams are expected to compete including Miss Geico, JD Byrider, Spirit of Qatar, WHM, Talkin Trash, WAZZUP! and many more.

NOTICE: Proof of insurance required for CBPBA boating events.
Annually, for all Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association boating events (i.e., official poker runs), Captains are required to have proof of insurance on file with the club.
We need a copy of the Declaration(s) of Coverage Page, showing what is covered and the coverage period. Our insurer has made this a requirement, it's not an option. So it's very important we meet the obligation, otherwise we'll have to turn people away the morning of an event.
No one is interested in the rates your paying or the T's and C's of the policy. Each policy has a 1 or 2 page section which is a Declaration of Coverage, showing what assets are covered by the policy... [Read More]

NEWS: 2010 Board of Directors
This evening the CBPBA held it's annual Changing of the Props party. We celebrated the induction of several new Board Members, a new President, and new Vice President for 2010.
After conducting normal business, outgoing President, Andy Livermore made the introductions to a packed house, handing over the ceremonial "gavel" to incoming President, Ted Ginnity.
Outgoing Vice President Joann Barker presented an embroidered CBPBA Club Jacket to each of the outgoing Board Members, including Kenny Rinehart and Debi Koopman. These same club jackets will be made available for sale to our membership, details should be finalized by next month's meeting.... [Read More]
